DRESS CODE/ UNIFORM

We want every student to feel great about themselves when they come to class and wear dance clothes that create pride in themselves and in our #danceplacefam.

Hair: in a style off the face and neck.

Ballet: Leotard (colour tba), tights, leather ballet shoes, Hair in a bun.

SOLOS, DUOS, TRIOS

For dancers that are ready to take the leap to perform as a soloist understanding the extra commitment, practice & lessons, we are happy to discuss with you the competition adventure. Competitions are a valuable tool in your quest to be the best you can be.
To be considered for a solo you must be taking “Unlimited Classes” and Ballet.

EXAMS

BALLET (Royal Academy of Dance), established in the UK in 1920, offering an internationally recognised portfolio of examinations and assessments which is designed to motivate and encourage students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to those on the threshold of a career in dance.

Acrobatic Arts: safe, effective and comprehensive program in accordance.

Glen Wood Tap: fabulous syllabus, dynamic choreography.

BULLYING

DANCE PLACE has a zero tolerance bullying policy, which includes social media, verbal or physical and also to publicly discrediting of DANCE PLACE or any teachers, students, parents and office workers on any public forum. Please contact Miss Sandra if you have any concerns re your child’s wellbeing during their time at DANCE PLACE.

CHILD CARE /DROP OFF /PICKUP

Parents may view class in the last week of term and at no other time. No child should be left without the parent being satisfied that their child is in class and under the care of the teacher, children are not allowed to leave class without supervision. Students must be picked up on time at the end of their classes, when students leave the premises, they are out of DANCE PLACE’S care. No students should wait outside the premises to be collected. All parents/guardians must come inside the building to collect.

HEAT

For Health and safety reasons If the temperature inside the studio reaches 38 degrees, classes will be cancelled. You will be notified by email, SMS and Facebook.
